Developing vaccine products
Challenge
The UK HIV Vaccines Consortium needed expert advice. The consortium was supporting and coordinating the development of several new HIV vaccines in academia. They needed guidance about which third party providers would be able to provide high quality services to this vaccine development effort. The services included, for example, preclinical development, toxicology, manufacturing process development, GMP manufacturing, assay development and batch release, cold chain logistics.
Solution
Our support included extensive advice concerning the procurement of specific vaccine services from third-party suppliers. The supply chains for a number of candidate vaccine constructs were assessed for feasibility, cost and fit within the portfolio of planned trials.
